I watched the debut of the play "kiss me like u mean it" last wk at the old parliament house as my aunt's bank sponsored it so it was an exclusive event with cocktail reception for the high-flier bankers and a number of actors and actresses. Mark Waite, the director, gave an introduction to the play before we proceeded to the theatre. Entrees were pretty good and the play was good too. The play starts off in a very comical, lively mood and it takes a really unexpected twist in the later half. I was quite surprised that the cast really smoked their ciggies and i could catch a faint smell of the smoke since i was sitting in front. The first half had really steamy scenes where the actor and actress showed their butt, and they teased the audience's senses when the actress moaned to show that she was copulating with a man and only half of her body was shown. Yes, she was wearing lingerie though. The first half of the play left me rather shocked but the later half completely changed my opinions of it. I shan't disclose what happened in the second half but it is good (not becoz it is full of profanities). The play had two actors and two actresses who acted very well. The play had very simple props just like the odd couple which also reminds me that Gerald Chew is one of the actors in this play. The young couple in the play learns lessons about love and other precious things from the older couple. I must say that it was worth my time watching this play.
